Which option fits which trucking cost?
Match the tool to the shape of the bill. A one-time bill such as an engine job fits working capital or a term loan. Costs that repeat unevenly, like fuel, tires and aftertreatment work, fit a line of credit. Replacing a worn trailer or reefer unit fits equipment financing, where the unit secures the deal.
- Truck in the shop today: repair and maintenance funding sized to the quote.
- Fuel, insurance or payroll before brokers pay: trucking working capital.
- Bills that keep coming every few weeks: a trucking line of credit.
What do funders look at?
Requirements vary by product and funder; many look at time in business, monthly revenue and credit. For trucking they also look at steady deposits, active USDOT or MC details and how much of your freight comes from one broker or shipper. Your deposits, lanes and time on the road carry real weight next to your score.
Strong credit tends to open the widest range of structures, and a bruised score still gets a full look at the business. See how it works for the steps from application to funding.
| Option | Best for | How it is usually repaid |
|---|---|---|
| Trucking working capital | Fuel, insurance, filings and payroll gaps | Fixed daily, weekly or monthly payments |
| Repair and maintenance funding | A down truck or a backlog of shop work | Fixed payments sized to the repair |
| Line of credit | Recurring, uneven costs across the fleet | Repay what you draw, then draw again |
| Term loan | One large, known cost | Fixed payments over a longer term |
| Revenue-based financing | Fast funding tied to deposits | Debits or a share of revenue until a set total is repaid |
| Equipment financing | Replacing a worn truck, trailer or unit | Fixed payments, secured by the equipment |
Frequently asked questions
Does TruckStop Capital fund trucks directly?
TruckStop Capital helps trucking businesses get funded. You fill out one application, and we match your file to partners whose products fit your trucks, deposits and the cost you are covering. You see the terms before you decide, and there is no obligation to accept an offer.
Do I need more than one truck to apply?
Yes. TruckStop Capital is built for fleets running two or more trucks. An owner-operator who has grown to a second truck or more applies like any fleet, and sole proprietors running multiple trucks are eligible. A fleet is reviewed on company deposits, existing payments and how the trucks are used. Requirements vary by product and funder.
Is this for buying new trucks?
Our focus is the cost of keeping trucks you already run on the road: repairs, fuel, insurance, filings and payroll. Equipment financing is available for replacing worn units, but growth purchases are not the center of what we do.
Not sure which option fits?
Apply once and we will match your file to the funding options that fit the cost you are covering.
